Mitel Messaging Gateway

Mitel’s Messaging Gateway enables messaging and administration of the wireless devices. The Messaging Gateway can be integrated to enterprise systems or applications to provide staff and mobile workers with access to real-time critical information. The wireless DECT/Wi-Fi devices can generate and receive text and alarm messages that can be distributed to a user, a group of users, or a customer’s messaging application.

Centralized Management

Managing end-user devices is always a challenge, especially when the devices are non-stationary/mobile. With Mitel’s device management application, administrators have the tools to centrally manage DECT and Wi-Fi handsets, handle and upload software versions, administer personal settings, manage contact data, and back up all portable devices in the system remotely.

The Messaging Gateway enables secure text messaging for IP-DECT and Wi-Fi systems. The service allows cordless devices to send text messages to each other or to a customer’s application. In addition, the NetPage service permits authorized users to send text messages from a web page directly to cordless devices.

Alert messages can be generated from the Mitel devices or from a customer application via Messaging Gateway to inform the company about critical events. Important messages can be sent to the individual or to groups of users.
