With Direct Call Recording, the Secure Recording Connector (SRC) service of the MBG server can establish voice stream taps for IP sets located on the LAN and for teleworker sets located on the external network. Both voice and signaling streams pass through the SRC.
You can enable direct call recording on a global basis for all sets, or on a "per set" basis for particular MAC addresses.
To enable global call recording:
On the MBG main page, click the Service configuration tab and then click Application integration.
In the Call Recording frame, select the Enabled box.
To inject tone into calls, select the Tone Injection Enabled box. See Tone Injection.
Click Save.
Click the System configuration tab and then click Settings.
Under MiNet options, clear Local streaming.
Under SIP options, clear Local streaming.
Click Save.
To configure the Secure Recording Connector (SRC) port ranges on MBG:
On the MBG main page, click the System configuration tab and then click Port ranges.
If required, update the SRC starting port and SRC ending port numbers.
After completing the configuration, double-check all settings. They are critical to the operation of the WebRTC gateway and are included in the Software Development Kit (SDK) that you download for deployment to your web server.
In some cases, configuration of the teleworker service can interfere with call recording. The "Local streaming" option of the teleworker service allows IP sets located behind the same NAT device to call each other directly without going through the MBG server. Because the audio stream does not pass through the MBG server, these calls cannot be recorded by the CRE.
MBG provides an option to override the local streaming option on a "per set" basis or on a global basis.
To access the global settings, click the System configuration tab on the MBG main page and then click Settings. Edit settings as required then click Save.
To
access the device-level settings, click the Service
configuration tab on the MBG main page, click MiNet
devices or SIP devices,
locate the device you want edit and then click .
Edit settings as required then click Save.
